Ibis Titanium with Kona P2 Titanium forks??

Re:

Are.we seeing a retro bubble in general do you think?

As there's a lot of stuff that wasn't reaching what it was a year ago and now it's like everyones going bananas over anything of retro coolness.

Re:

^^ lets hope so. Hope it makes 3K + Amazing to ride....apparently. Sure it will just end up as a bragging ornament. Great to see all this sudden love for Titanium bikes again.

Monty, he'd go to New York...for that fork ;)

Wonderful old bikes and Withnail quotes... I love this forum :)

I test rode a new carbon mojo and it was a nice bike but it didn't blow me away like the first test on their ti ibis. I would hope a brnad new SLR or a Ripley might but I've not had chance to try them. What goes around comes around imo.

Good luck Harry - stranger things have happened.

Re:

Nice frames but not as amazing a ride as I expected. Thought mine was too flexy over rough stuff. Sweet Wings on mine too, rubbish kept coming loose even when loctited plus they have in built "play" in them which I didn't like the feel of. Not using the handjob either is a travesty!!

Mine....now in Singapore

it originally looked more like Mr Ship's - even had pace forks- but over the years it slowly morphed to a SS. For me it wasn't a rebuild, it was my original do everything bike. So it changed with the times and my needs. :) I nearly rebuilt it back to a Mr Ship build but then the Limited came out so I bought that and left it alone.

...and yours was a smaller stiffer frame !!! That's why Fat City used such oversize Ti tubing with external butting. You retain the stiffness of steel but keep that lovely Ti compliance feel ;)
