I'm not trying to minimise or justify what she has done, but ( even though it wasn't my mates fault ) I've seen first hand what the guilt can do. He's never drove since, lost his job and never worked since 2004, has been a alcoholic since 2004 and spent all the money from his house sale on drink.

She might be a idiot a moron or whatever you want to call her but she didn't do it on purpose. Young immature reckless behaviour that sadly enough ended another persons life and damaged many others. If the prison sentence (however small) doesn't mess her head up she's got the rest of her days to do it to herself.
