I need to save this Orange Vitamin T

Well here are some pics after a bit of a clean today.

The crack appears to only be on the one side but I have also noticed that the frame originally came with a welded on seat binder and that has been cut off and ground down to fit the seat collar.

Serial number seems to suggest it’s a 93

Head tube is fortunately a 1 1/8” so I’ve got a few RC35s that will fit! (I’ve read some of these were only 1” like my P7?)

Everything else seems fine, apart from the seatpost being seized.

When it gets repaired, I think I’ll have to steal a pair of Hope Ti glides off another bike, perhaps a Middleburn crankset and find some more M900 to deck it out in!

I've heard different numbers for those made with 1 1/8" head tubes, mine is the same. Some say as low as single digit number of frames.
I've also chopped the seat binder off as it snapped off on one side, mine is smoother than that though! You'd never know it was there. Could be an interesting clue to the crack though, as the seat tube is externally butted and the external diameter doesn't match any off the shelf seat clamps, I have to carefully ream one out internally to get a good fit. So I'd definitely have that seat clamp off and check how well it fits.

And having written all that I've taken another look at your photos and it looks as though this frame isn't externally butted. Probably Orange had a few different iterations.

That's what I thought on seeing the cleaned picture, very strange to have a crack like that. Almost looks like it's into the top tube as well?

Either got cracked grunting on the post trying to remove, or someone ran it with the post way too far out & it took a hit on the back of the saddle with same effect
