I've been reading the site for a while, but joined to sell as it seemed the best place for my old kit to go to people who'd appreciate it more.

And people joining, posting for a while and disappearing isn't unusual - on the snowboarding forum I frequent they've a massive seasonal membership (increasing in winter, obviously) with only a small percentage posting all year round.

After being inundated with 'cheeky offers' though I never went back.

i don't really mind if they join to flog stuff then go. i benefitted by this as that's how i got my aluminium elite, which has since been in MBR mag and also is now at the top of the news section on Orange's website.

i think that if the price is fair and during the buying conversation they come across well then i'm happy to buy from them.

maybe some of you are forgetting they are still cyclists but just not of the retro variety, they flog their old stuff to us (rather than bin it for LGF to find) and go buy a new modern bike. recycling?

also, if they are trying to sell utter tat then it quickly falls down the list into obscurity.
