How to clean up X-LITE bars?

Hi all

I recently bought these X lite bars from eBay. I'd like to try and clean them up a bit, but how deep is the logo etching?
If I polish the whole bar will that disappear too? If I polish it though, it'll be shiny and reflective but is it possible to regain the soft grey look?

Here's some pics. The scratches would be visible outside of my Ringle stem.
