How to buy safely

Is it worth ripping someone off for £120 in an elaborate scam? There is far easier ways.

If you are nervous, just contact them for proof of address, and a email from their work address etc.
Flip it around. If I was a seller and some buyer wanted me to package for a courier they were arranging , and receive payment once they arrive I’d be simply selling it someone else as that all sounds scammy for me (not saying that’s the case here) . I’ve no issue posting items but it’s done using proper companies (RM/Parcelforce ) which I have control over and PayPal recognise.

Plus I’d not be sending some random person any personal details either.

Buying and selling is such a simple process. Don’t confuse it. By all means cover yourself by using a appropriate payment method but its unlikely someone is trying to scam you for £120.

If you're not sure if it's a scam, compare it with this one i received at work last year.. my incarcerated brother in law, the prince of Nigeria reboot
