How old is too old?

age isnt as old as it used to be, People are living longer, 80 is the new 70 i reckon.

on a slight tangent

i was an annoying 3 year old when my parents were my age (29), they owned their second house etc etc. I still like going to raves, i live in a house share with mates etc.

i figure my generation will live til we're a hundred, and work til we're 80, so i'm continuing my teenage years in proportion!

159 that's the age i'll consider myself too old...unless we get some new nano gene therapy medical crazyness that increases life spans to the thousands then i shall have to reconsider my aging scheme.

To them, I reckon. I was feeling too old at 36 and getting a bit down about it all. Found this site, found that most people were at least as old as me and then saw a few vids of CK falling off on repack and cheered up fairly quickly. I reckon that the only point you have to stop riding is when you can't physically turn the pedals any more - and given some of the ratios you can get that's going to be a long, long time.

There's no cut-off age as shown in earlier replies, so keep riding as long as you enjoy it, but if you get to the point where you spend more time in a year recovering from falls than you do in riding it might be time to consider sticking to easier rides

+1 ..also go with a pal/groups..good for banter or if one or either comes "unstuck"..just incase if injury..
