As well as the one bike in every category you have to consider the option of variation within a brand.

For example I like my Turner frames and decided it would be cool to have one bike in each of the nominal travel ranges and hence have the following (but not all finished...)

<3" travel: Turner Stinger
3" travel: Turner O2
4" travel: Turner Flux + a Burner for the better half
5" travel: Turner 5 Spot
6" travel: Turner RFX
7" travel: Turner Afterburner

to that list I'd like to add an early 94/95 Burner - if I can find one, as well as a 29r and hence you can see where this could go...

Realistically I'd say I have too many bikes to make good use of them all, but its my hobby and I have the space (currently).

You can never have too many, and if there is a limit (Wife/space etc), then take em apart and stash em, all over the house if possible.
If you're anything like me, it's hard to say no.....

I got some bikes aswell, although I am trying to cut down the feel of buying a bike each month is always there,..
I hope to find some peace and quite someday in my buying addiction, it is not only bikes, that's the problem,..
Besides the mountainbikes i got some other "normal" bikes, 2 scooters and 1 on the way, 4 cars and negotiating about another one,...

i wish i could be happy with just 1 of each,...
i prommised myself that i will not spend over 2500 euro each month on bikes and stuff,.......
