some of them i rode once or twice, i know 2 of them were built and rode 100yds or so then broke for parts......crazy, but it seems there are loads of us doing this on here.

i came into a huge amount of cash earlier in the year and set aside 30k for playthings, so the main amount went on getting the bikes i wanted as i grew up, and i now sit here realising the 2 bikes i will be keeping are new bikes.....the jones and a snow bike coming soon.

i have not really lost any cash, some bikes i made a little on what id lost on another, so im about evens

Obviously as it's what you wanted to do, and it presumably made you happy, then it's all cool 8)

Life is always like this - what some people spend a lot of money on, others will find incomprehensible. For me, if I now had a lump of disposable income to spend on bike-related stuff then I'd spend it on travelling to places that I've always wanted to ride rather than on the actual hardware.
I probably think like this because I'm only too aware that I haven't got very many good riding years ahead of me (and that's looking on the bright side) and so now experiences are more important to me than objects. Things that, when I can no longer do them, I can look back on and be glad that I did them when I had the chance.

Not a single one!

I've recently picked up a nice mid-nineties Cannondale touring frame, and that'll be my next build. There are three or four frames and a similar number of forks I'll be selling shortly to make room.

Just the one and it's more Retro bike than most!
Everyone should own one, preferably with a basket and dynamo lighting!

On Saturday I had to drop my rear MTB wheel off for truing at my LBS, which meant I had to ride the mighty steed above.
Cycling 5 miles along a wet and windy cycle track in the pitch dark,
at midnight under the influence- now that's hardcore! :P

I've not bought any through this site, but as I work in a bike shop that sells 2nd hand bikes have bought and sold quite a few bikes in the 18 months/2 years that I've been a member here. Mose were cheap student bikes but there were a few jem's, nothing ultra desirable, but more worthy of ebay than the shop. So a conservative estimate would be 100-150 or so (yes 2 or 3 a week !! )

Haven't brought any complete bikes but have brought a couple of frames so have done some projects since being on here.
