Haha.....good point. I've got a fairly steady hand but those edges should make life a little easier......just need to dig out the Humbrol enamels!

Have you got a good reference image of what your badge should look like?
 
This is my spare brass one, much thicker and robust in manufacture:

my one matches the top one in style, I'm not saying mine is brass, but just that the proportions of my badge are the same as that, the bottom looks differenent like thinner letters etc

I was lucky to get two of each NOS badges. They weren't cheap but they do turn up.
