How do I mount my brakes?

Re:

I do believe WD pro has what you need, they look like washers with a little hole for the spring.
Drop him a message, sure he posted about them only a couple of days ago.

Don't compromise with crap brakes.

and what 'crap' brakes would they be?

Re:

Bloody 987s, only thing they are good for are looking good* always places the blocks in just the wrong position or ramps it up into the tyre on the way out, or just plain don't play ball with the equally crap Mavic M231s.

If you do use them, you need SS7 levers, any others are just plain wrong. SS5s if you must as second place levers.

*so in reality should be on all bikes. Though my sets reside in a plastic bag in a box.

Avid Arch Rival Ultimates do not require the hole for the spring tension adjustments (due to their spring system). I'm not sure if the lower level Arch Rival brakes do the same (possibly but I only have the Ultimates). Most likely your frame was run with Maguras (which is also a good choice imo.).
