iv also got a bit of an aircooled 'thing', this was my last vw, during 'surgery'
after working on modern cars all day i just love to spend my weekends tinkering with nice old 'simple' cars

ahhhh well............ it didnt quite get that far
i finished everything off and it went to a local painter 'car nut' (he's got a b/block 71 corvette with the plate ..HOT 454 ) to have the final roof filling/sanding finished off, a few other little bits sorting out and it was due to be satin black (natch ) with an emerald green metalflake roof,
but he fell head over heels with it and made me an offer for it (less the 1776 with idf's an engle cam - screamer ) that was too good to turn down...... so it never came home, as far as i know its still sitting at the back of his workshop.....waiting :roll:

i did end up using a pair of wizard doors on the vw as i wanted frameless doors on suicide hinges - thats was a proper arse ache to get right :shock:

i forgot to put the pic up.
mine will have welded doors and no screen
