To me, this is everything I love about swaps and old bikes.

A good clean, some fresh cables, new brake pads and tires; I'd keep and ride this exactly how it is.

It's just got sooooo much personality. Even with the bonkers fork choice!

Would love to know what these guys cost you both, but I know a gentleman never tells!

I bet this was designed w/ a rigid 400mm a-c fork. I would ride it w/a rigid before deciding how to rebuild.

it has been a very productive weekend so far. beers and bikes with vintageman several days
this weekend has produced some results. he is an A1 mechanic. many thanks dude.
