Hope disc timeline

Re:

Hi all, I know this is a bit of an old thread but I think I have a relevant question. I have recently tried to reuse an old 97 z1 bomber fork i have had kicking around for the last 15 years but found it won’t take a modern is Caliper, was there a period before they finalised the is standard? I have a c2 that fits as it was fitted with it from new but I just assumed is was is if you know what I mean.

Pr-standardization 48mm (or is it 47 :? I always forget.

There was apparently an adaptor, though i have never seen any released under the Hope name, though I seem to remember at least one on here made one.

Outside of that you need an elusive Hope C2 number 4 caliper. (just read you have that bit, and i'd be happy to take it off your hands for my clock :D

Solution as far as i can see is to fabricate something.

Re:

Cheers Andy I thought you might have an official answer, I only tried to use the forks as I had a load of bits that I was throwing onto a cheap giant frame for lugging the kids about. I’ve no idea what the brake is worth it’s a complete original front brake with I think the sport lever I’ve owned it from new (97) but been in a box for prob 15 years or so. Looks fine no corrosion at all but obviously will need some love. Pm me if you want to chat about it oh and it was for a 185 disc which I also have.

I've a new add :D and another oddity.

Moulton pattern Ti-Glide. Short freehub.

And there my info ends, till it arrives and i can get a good look at it.

I'll take a guess at Suntour individual cogs, or maybe campagnolo :? Maybe ask in the road section.

I've dropped the Moulton club a note asking for any info they might have, as to date etc. Update on that is nothing came back.

TBH I dont think its moulton specific ,just the short freehub.

Re:

Unsure what this one is... mki.iii?

Custom bracket and stops added to the fork to allow the fit, front wheel dished dramatically

Spring keeps popping off, does it need rewound, anything missing folks?

Ah cool, thanks, I know next to nothing about these. Saying that I read this thread end to end last night  more my memory issues than the technical content 'tho. Keen to get this working, any ideas on the spring sliding off? Am i missing something?

I'd call that a mk2, what is that attached to? not many bikes with built in mounting plates.

Andy, this hub I have seems short too, it's the front 'tho. Might be an optical illusion or it maybe totally standard. I've never owned a pair of hubs before (still don't, who's got a spare red one?!) Almost bought a pair from uncle RobMac a couple years back, I think
