Hope bore cap compatability.

The older mono mini (2004) The one with the gold bore caps.

I've just had in a pair of mono mini borecaps that are black, and slightly different to the bore caps in the black/ gold mono mini.
The gold ones are 2004, whereas these I think are for the 2007(the silver post mount ones.

The thread is identical, theres a tiny difference in thickness, , V small really, and instead of the countersink on the gold cap, these are flat with a lip.

Question - Anyone know if they're compatible ?.
Hopes bore cap chart lists both under mono mini, and you can see the tiny difference, but they dont state if you can used either in either caliper.

I would expect the countersink vs flat to be the deal breaker. However, I put 2007> black M4 bore caps in a <2007 Mono M4 caliper (with the gold caps) and vice versa with no issues.

I think theyre compatible too. The tiny difference in size is the countersink versus the flat. If anything its 1/4 of a mm and I dont see that doing anything.
