Well I'm currently on my Hols and spending a week with my parents in Taunton, Somerset. The town is home to On Your Bike, a brilliant charity which take in unwanted bikes and rescue them, selling complete bikes and parts to the community and providing jobs and experience to those who have fallen on hard times. I've managed to find two fantastic project bikes from here already in the past and now have another two :)

The first one which I picked up yesterday is a 1988 Marin Palisades, its too big for me but was crying out for attentenion so couldn't say no.
Plan is as always to fully strip and clean then assess each part, already has a replacement driveside crank and rings so I have sourced an Exage 500LX set with good rings amongst other parts off of RB. Rear triangle is missing lots of paint so may end up have all the paint redone and decals from Gil.

Whilst there I also picked up a pair of early LX arms, some Shimano Exage Country shifter/brake units and some modern Panaracet tyres.
