holdsworth professional 1969 final pics added

I thought I would start a thread on my holdsworth professional, I acquired it some time ago but I have recently put it in with Mario Vaz of Vaz finishers and previously of Holdsworth to give it a respray in the holdsworth team colours.

The frame features the large wrapover on the seat stay and a aero fork. I have so far found a period campagnolo headset and a number of early 90's record conponents. I am undecided as yet of which era group to put on it. any info or pointers as what direction to take it are welcome..

Have you got the frame back from Vaz yet?
He's quite local to me & I've been tempted to use him because he's cheap.
But there's quite a few reports out there saying that his work can be a bit dodgey..
His brother has a good reputation for frame repairs tho, also cheap too.

Looking forward to seeing this back from the respray - would Nuovo Record be more in keeping with the frame vintage (and Team colours)?

when I went to marios workshop he had a few examples of his work and it did look very good, so I will see how mine goes, it is a test for me if it is any good i have 5 other frames to put through with him..

on the groupset I was thinking nuovo record but I have managed to put together alot of c record and I do like the look of it, just not sure what to do with regards to shifters, combi shifters or down tube??

The primary issue seems to be about thin paint & durability. The advice seems to be to ask for some touch up paint when you collect the frame. I was just curious as to if you'd had it back, an fitted any parts to it yet?

As I said, I'd been tempted to try him myself because he's so much cheaper than others. I've heard his workshop is something of an alladins cave too, which sounds interesting.
