Holdsworth Mistral build

Love the Golden Arrow rear mech, I have one on my mauve Corsa - never fails, bought new in 1985.

Put the Golden Arrow shifters on:

The 105 white hoods brake levers (just put on to see how the colors match)

And how it looks now:

Shiny, isn't it?

More on the flickr album.

White Campy cables should arrive tomorrow. Chain will be new. For now I'll use tires and tubs I've got here and, hopefully, Thursday evening I'll be able to put everything on!

Can't wait.

Nice! Like the red paint job. That should make the loss of the EH bearable. And I'll be looking forward to this result instead. :)

Ahahah cheers mate :)

I am (well missus is) not convinced about the handlebar tape color.
It was actually tape for the Carlton (which has Charge faux-leather tape).

Cables arrived yesterday, chain will be picked up today after work, backpack with components is ready at home, frame has been protected with some bubble wrap.
Everything is ready, will pick it up from home after work and head to the Richmond Cycling workshop in Mortlake where I'll have all the tools (and help) to build it!

Hopefully I'll be able to ride it back home (under the rain, it looks like :/)

Re:

Wasn't able to ride back home. BB shell threads on one side are bit gone and BB kept spinning on one side.

I'll call Chas Roberts to know if they can re-thread it and a quote or get a thread less BB maybe from velo orange...

Suggestions?

Re:

I like but waiting to see what the bike looks like with the Rolls saddle as not a fan of the one it has on! By the way is your bar tape leather or faux?

This one is leather. Gonna get a threadless bb and build it up.
If the BB fails at one point will find a way to re-thread it.
Local bike shop doesn't do it (clean only)

Meaning it might be fully built end of the week when I can go next workshop.
