My apologies if this sort of thread is out of order, I'll happily delete if I'm wrong here.

What is the normal waiting time to receive a refund for stuff? It was my own fault for ordering the wrong part, but I'm sure as part of distance selling regs (of which I know nothing), he should refund me as soon as he receives the returned item?

Waiting since 11th August when I returned the item, and I've reminded him each week since.

Hopeless.
 
agree. He has been discussed with mixed results. I wouldn't go near again :twisted:
 
I've been to his house and picked up stuff in the past - what I can say is that he's a 101% bike man IMHO. What I'd suspect though, is that he's not going to be very businesslike - keep the faith, keep the spirit - he'll come good and it'll end in smiles...
 
I had to send him a polite reminder, but otherwise no problem. Sent refund straight away after the reminder.
 
Ive had some great stuff from him at more than reasonable prices. I suspect its to do with disorganisation not malice
 
I'm from Bristol and when i found out about him a few years ago and realised he was in Bristol (he lives about 5 mins away from a friend of mine who also has the same problem of not being able to get in contact with the guy) i was over the moon and thought he would be a great supplier of retro parts etc. But turns out, as said above, he's not much of a businessman and unfotunately very dissappointing service.

Loads of friends of mine and people over at LFGSS people have the same opinion which is abit of a shame as he has some awesome stuff in his house.

This is good to know as he may have some great stuff but if he can't be business orientated & has a wesbite then he should not be in the business of selling to the public at large IMO.

I'm glad of this info as I visit the website quite often & being overseas will possibly avoid for now.
 
I've bought from him a couple of times, and he's been great.
As has been said he always delivers in the end.
I've not heard of him failing to respond, refund or deliver.
Sadly it can take some time though!
