High-end 26” V-Brake rim in Silver, made by….?

Sun Ringle EQ21L ?
Which is only 375g, but it's 21mm width ,not 22mm, and maybe not high-end ($20 in China)

Rigida/Ryde Sputnik, Exal LX17 any good to you?

Rigidas have a great reputation for durability, far better than Mavic in the touring world.

Why do you want a welded joint? The tension of the spokes holds the rim in compression anyway. My last two pairs of Mavics cracked from the welded joint circumferentially along the braking surface.

I had exactly the same problem recently - and concluded no new rims were available.
Luckily, some NOS silver XC717s turned up on eBay.

The problem is 26" is out, V-brakes are out, and silver components are also out.
So your choice of rims as been drastically reduced - to the point were can’t buy a new high end 26” rim in silver anymore.

And the problem is only going to get worse of course.
Well'l struggle to find nice 26" tyres soon. And rim manufactures will stop making high end V-brake rims altogether - in any colour.

It's annoying for me because my favourite bike, which I ride all the time, is a 26" V-brake bike.

Re:

I'd like to think there are enough 26 in wheeled bikes around so tyres will be available for many years.

.... and yes, i couldnt see the join until i remembered it is always opposite the valve hole.
