I think everyone has a good excuse for not getting this one. Like I said, this is the first one posted on here and I cannot find a single pic online of others. With the Cameron and now this I'm really starting to enjoy finding those lesser know MTBs.
This is a 1990 Jon Lebsack custom built Vertebra. All fillet brazed with his traditional curved top tube, offset brazed seatpost clamp, and sectional rear stays.
You probably would need to be a CO bike nerd to know much about this builder. There were a few NA wide sales and Vertebra was a feature in the back of MBA mags but this is a small time custom builder.
This frame is wee. 15" seat tube with 19.5" top. The bottom bracket seems low for a trails bike, but it could be. Could also be a custom job for a little racer. Probably a story behind it.
I think it's pretty cool. I remember these as a kid and there is one in Ontario somewhere. I rode it when I was buying a new bike.
