Kona Questions, sizing, differences in era (up to 97), clearances etc.

I am 5:7 and I’ve always ridden 18” Kona’s with 80-100mm stems

But I also bought a 19” this year and expected it to feel too big but it actually didn’t feel any different tbh

You are overthinking, of course, I do that too. I bet a lot here do.
We're the ones that never quite start, let alone finish a build

In the end after some months, probably years you just slap whatever is nearby and go ride it. Think "I should alter that" as you ride and then probably never do

RIGHT, it's built up, too dark to take pictures though. Parts run from about 1991- 1997, but frame is '98... so where would I put the build thread?

What tyre's are people running on there's?

Currently running the modern Ritchey z- max 2.1, but those seem to sit really slim on my Mavic 231.

@al-onestare has stated you can run up to 2.1 on back on a 98 Explosif and 2.2 on front (got 97 P2s). I'm happy with Black sidewalls, but preferably not too garish design. Happy to spend more if needed too.

I’ve got 2.2’s (or maybe even 2.3’s) on my Hot below and there is just about enough clearance on the back
