I picked up the saddle today from the guy and it is a 1998 saddle

What is the bottom bracket threading?

The bottom bracket is standard English

Yes it is biopace and I thought I might get some grief about the pedals.I don't like toeclips and the original pedals were one sided so I had those sitting about and used them to keep costs down.

Nothing wrong with the pedals if it’s a daily ride & commute in lots of traffic.

Well I think I have found the bike that it is a Carrera Tony Doyle 1989
