Help with 26.2 Seat Post (Marin)

Hi

I have a 91 Marin Palisades and am looking through change the seatpost.

The original seatpost is 26.2 in diameter

The replacement is a USE 25.2

I have found a Cane Creek shim but it is designed for a 25.4 diameter seatpost and a 26.2 seat tube

My question is will I be able to fit this seatpost or is the .2 difference sufficient to cause problems

Typically 0.2 is at the top end of what is tolerable. That said, USE posts are nominally 25.4.

I tihnk you will be fine (I run a USE with shim on my 26.2 Marin!)

Yes the diameter of the post threw me I thought it was a typo on the listing but after measuring it with my digital callipers it stating 24.18,

I'll order the shim and try it and in the meantime keep my eye out for a 25.4
