HELP! What's this frame?

Gone down the normal routes of old cats, Internet, etc, asked friends, no luck. Does any of you good folk recognise this frame. Looks like Marin, but it's got curved seat and chain stays... Alloy, 3 cables on top tube, removable hanger. Frame number is "AF" then 8 numbers. Its light and the numbers are hand stamped as they are not all that straight. Its pre disc, gut says late 90's. Your sagely utterings much appreciated. Cheers.

I think the only detail is the two mounts on the seatstays i'd guess is for a rack, so puts it in the GPB(general purpose bike) category.
Those mounts look very familiar but i just cant place them.

Yes. Its mass market, rather than hand build...ie Scott, Marin, etc. Its just those 3 cables on top and the sway stays???
