Help:Rear hub cassette body for an american classic

Dirt Disciple
I've got these wheels I would like to try out,but the hub cassette body is a Campag-but I need a Shimano.
Has anyone got anything or any advice?Maybe there's a wheel guy out there who may have the right part?
The original body is aluminium, and a Shimano equivalent body would be nice.
Sorry about the picture, could supply others if it helps.
Please PM me if you may have a solution.
Thanks.

Are you sure that's a Campag body? The splines don't look deep enough to me.

This is the Campag version:

No,I'm not sure.I'm guessing.
The problem with my one is that all splines are the same width, but the correct depth for a shimano.I can fit a Shimano cassette on but,on all but one spline, there's a gap-and therefore play. Was thinking of improvising using flat pins of some sort.
Just trying to understand what it is I have and if I could find a more suitable body..

I'm pretty sure that's the standard Shimano body. Certainly, it's not the Campag model. I can't really picture the problem you're having though. Is there an orientation of the cassette where there's no play? i.e. does one of the hub's female splines match the one broad male spline of the cassette?

I've sent you PM with a link to a user on another forum who might be able to advise.
