Hi midlife,I have had others say Raleigh and Carlton,the Grand Prix or the grand sport,as it’s been painted over there is no other markings apart from the serial number which begins 46,I thought maybe that was the year?

Hi peachy no frame number but someone did think the sunbeam royal ? I have looked all over the frame but no identification number anywhere,would there be a number internally?bb or headset maybes?

If a Claud it would be visible on the underside of the BB shell & on the fork steerer tube.

Its likely 1968-1973 when the numbering system went a bit pants.

They used the frame for a number of bikes, it's identical to my late 60's Carlton Cobra minus the chrome.
