Hi

I am currently thinking of buying this rather nice older Marin, not too sure on the model though.
I'm thinking Team, but not sure. Got a lot of nice kit and is in very good condition.
What do you think of it, more of a Specialized nerd, so not that clued up on this one

I recognise the pic from an ebay listing a couple of months back. It was a Uk listing.
I think it is a 1993 Team Marin with Tange Prestige tubing and Manitou forks. The tyres are Panaracer Smokes/Magics/Darts. Some Syncros goodies and a Flite Ti saddle. Not sure on other bits, but assume XTR mechs for the year.
A very nice steel framed bike.

One I lusted aftermyself! But had other conmmitments at the time.

Don't hesitate...get retro quick.

Thanks very much, do you know if it sold?
And from your signature it seems you are very much the Marin expert, rough guide price would be appreciated
Looks nice, but think it might be a bit pricy for what it is
Cheers

I deleted it from my watched list. So, I never saw it finish.

Price is open really.
It's dependant on parts and condition.

Go and check it out. There is no fixed price for second hand bikes anymore it seems.

The marvel of supply and demand at its best. Pay what it's worth to you.

A friend had a team as part of his sponsorship BITD. He still has it actually. It's frame made the most musical 'ding' when flicked I have ever heard. If you get it for no other reason, get it to flick. You won't be dissapointed.

On a more mundain note, it was also a really good bike.

My pine does that too - you can kinda play a tune when you hose it down by spraying the water from the tube ends to middle and back quickly!

God what am I admiting to here!!

Looks like a good bike!

Thanks for the info, decided against it in the end.
The price was £450 ono, so if anyone would like the sellers details please pm me (think he still has it)

Bought a Stumpy instead, not as old or desirable. But will get used more
(cheaper too, tight old git that I am)
So now that's an M2,M4 and a M5, just a steel one and i've got the set.
