Help IDing an e-stay bike

Retro Newbie
Hi all,

I recently acquired an elevated chainstay mountain bike I believe to made in the early 90's. Since it's original incarnation, it looks like it has been painted several times and converted into a touring bike. I'm interested in seeing if you all can help me figure out who and where this guy is from.

I've snapped a few photos and found the serial number: A320400 on the bottom bracket.

Some people over at mtbr pointed me here, they also had a few guesses. No one is sure yet, but here are the ideas: DBS Kilamanjaro, Rocky Mountain Cirrus, Nishiki Alien, any more ideas? I know this is going to be a doozy of a task since it's been repainted so many times. The only other components on the bike that are era relevant are the Shimano Exage 300 groupset with intact BioPace chain rings! Let me know what you all think.

Here are the new pictures -- (there are more in this album)

If you need higher resolution images let me know. I might have downsized them one too many steps and can reupload if necessary. Again, thanks for any help.

I've no idea what it is, sorry, but I like it. Doesn't look like a 'cheap' frame.

This frame is one sturdy beast. It rolls over everything without taking a second glance; I have no idea who made it, but whoever it was did a bang up job!!

Bump

Sorry, for the bump . I was just curious if anyone did have any ideas or could point me in the right direction (other forums or anything) to help figure out who this beaut is.

I've posted threads at mtbr and bikeforums, but both have died out, too. I just really want to know. Thanks again for any help.
