Help identifying the location please

I've recently taken possession of my late Uncle Georges photographic slides and I'm in the process of scanning them. They date from 1959 - 1979 . He was from Paisley but lived for 30 years in Barrow in Furness. He was a keen photographer and took mainly landscapes , railway engines , ships and bridges . He loved touring in his car and walking in the country.
Anyway , to the point. His notebook where he recorded his photos has been lost. I'm trying to identify locations as I go along. Some are easier than others.

I believe this little village is somewhere up the west coast of Scotland maybe towards Ullapool. Picture taken c 1961

Can anyone identify the location ?

It looks like a bit past Ardmair north, but the contour of the background mountain isn't quite right, but that may just be a different angle.

Maybe take a drive with Google in that area.

Re:

It looks a lot like a road I remember when up near the Summer Isles, Achiltibuie, somewhere like that? Can't for the life of me remember the name of that big mountain, but it did have the rounded top like that one end, from very poor memory.....

Looks a bit like the road from Ricconich out to Sandwood bay carpark.

Just a thought. First one though was down towards Applecross :)

Reminded me of the road to Achmelvich... wasn't too far out, all things considered :) Just a brilliant part of the country

Thanks everyone. I've many many more that I don't know the locations so I may post them up for your perusal.

Nothing to do with bikes but they maybe of interest to some
