Help identifying an old Raleigh Mountain bike

Hi all, first post so hello to everybody.

I have come across an old Raleigh bike, which has no stickers to identify it.

I was hoping one of you guys could help out, only sticker it has on is "Taya Chain".

Any help would be great as i will probably be putting it on ebay once i know the model!!

Are there any clues a to the original paint colour under the black?

Hi, i think it is the original paint. But cant be 100% on that, it has some scratches on frame with no sign of any other colours underneath.

I think it was a 1990 model going off the lever's and brakes, thanks for looking.

Its a 1989 Raleigh Avanti, will be on ebay as soon as i have cleaned and oiled it!!
