Not sure if there's any Raleigh guru's on here, but if so I'd be interested to know a little more about a frame that a friend has just acquired.
It was bought new by his father in law some years ago, and is an alloy frame with some quite fancy CNC work on the chain stays (bit like my Tomac). It was finished in a lime green colour, and while all the decals are long gone it does still have the metal head badge saying 'Raleigh Special Products'.
It came with much of the other components, some RS forks - either Indy or Judy by the looks of them, some very deep rims in bright red, and various bits of Shimano XT kit, though the chainset is Suntour (550 possibly?), not sure if this is original.
Anyway, if anybody could shed any light on it I'd be very grateful.
