Hi there, just found this amazing forum.

I am 26 and when i was at school, myself and others yearned after a GT LTS 1, and we were all riding M Trax, and Kona's at the time!

Now 10 years down the road, and i have just been offered a GT LTS 1 frame!!

Im dead exited, and cant wait to build it up, but im trying to find a spec list for the original...anyone?

Inbetween everything else, i had a Muddy Fox full suspension bike, and ive never seen one before so i will post some pics up later and see what you all think to it.

Once again, congrats on a great site, and i cant wait to get cracking wih the LTS!!

The only think with this site is that i will want more bikes that we all wanted when we were at school!

Ah what the hell!

Ill get a pic of the frame up later too, its at work and im on lunch at the mo so ill take the camera back with me.

Im possibly going to do it period but with a few modern items on it.

Its basically going to replicate what i wanted back in the day if i can.

Spins, Maguras, Judy SL's etc etc!

Im really exited and i dont know if i should be!?

I see you have a few GT's, do you have an idea if the LTS 1 was a base one, or a top spec one?

Cheers

Pretty much top.

They did the LTS and RTS's as follows; Team/frame only, 1, 2 then 3. Late 90's (98/99) they did some 4's, but they are low end.

1's were XTR equipped, and 6061-T6 tubing

Hello mr pencil!!

I would be excited if i were 26 as well! ;)

Welcome m' boy, Al. :D

Hi Chewedpencil (nice name  )

Nice to meet you. Definately get some pics up as we all like a nice LTS.

Good luck with the build and it was nice knowing you. Never will you have spent so much money!!!!

is it the straight seat post LTS or the bendy duel sport one?

hi mate. welcome. you have every right to be excited.

there seems to be getting a bit of a north lincolnshire army forming on this site!

I'm 38 and dont get excited about much

Was excited when i bought my LTS about eight years ago though and i can still just about remember that :D

Have fun building it, best thing i think you could do is do some research in readers bikes to see what others have used on LTS's, some go for a period correct build, some a catalogue spec, others will mix in a few modern bits which is fine too especially if the bike is intended as a regular rider ;)
