This is the kind of content I needed, as I stumbled down the stairs, about to turn on the telly, I had a quick peek at my phone screen. I see a retrobike notification and realise that it is indeed the death of the purple monster. I cheered, I screamed.

Got down to bare metal in bits of it yet?

So today started well stripped the bike,degreased frame,etch primed,high build primed started first of the topcoats .....and ....ran out of white topcoat....kinda the backbone to the paint scheme I had In mind

So I had to abandon plan B.

So I needed a plan C!

But plan C didn't seem to be coming to me!I needed inspiration quick....like immediately!

So I grabbed a brown paper bag and huffed the last of the propellant in the can got a bit giddy and thought right let's do a a proper tweaker paint job


There goes my fishnets for the weekend!




Now about there is were I run out of white topcoat...
This being a cheap as chips gnarly bike and the idea of the paint being as the cheap chips fall I've had to start using a bit more black than I wanted....bugger



Today I taught myself a new trick... unfortunately I'd done one side of the frame before I'd learnt said trick I'm going to call it "shadow masking"
It's certainly making the drive side neater

Well that's it's for today....let's see if I can salvage something out of this mess

Few more "careful" squirts then lacquer
That mesh detail disappears so quick with black...each squirt is nerve racking ...so much for a quick easy paint job eh!
Might be some paint splatter action after lacquer.... Well see! But it'll be done today yay!
