I was searching the internet about a certain Klein Attitude which was offered to me; a Swatch Team Klein Attitude and i came across Hans Rey.
He did not ride one but who remembers Hans Rey,..
I saw the picture of him and pictures and movies shot through my head,..he was sooooo cool,..i forgot all about him..

saw him on a video i watched last night on the 1989 mountain bike world championship. He was doing trials on his Bmx ( won it). Wearing some very 80's dayglo shorts. In fact, In the general XC races, there were a few guys who looked like dads who had just slipped away from the sunday BBQ The downhill pairs looked more like one of those crash videos! ( mind you, all ridgid bikes)The sports come a long way since then. Good to see John Tomac blasting around the Xc course.

Yeh, I remember 'no way Ray'. I had one of his videos-i forget the title, but i've always wanted to be able to ride downhill, seated, while balancing only on my front wheel since watching it

Yeah, there's a video of him and Steve Peat on Youtube doing a big ride somewhere.

I've still got his Level vibes video from BITD, watching it was probably the main reason i had to go out and get a purple 16 Zaskar LE back then

There was an article in Bike magazine with him riding across the Alps (could have been the Pyrenees) recently

I was disappointed that he didn't Switzerland Squeak all the way ...

He broke his leg earlier this year.
