For Sale H. R. Morris complete road bike ( a one off )

I had heard about these lugs beautiful craftmanship. Mr H R Morris shop for me in the early 70’s was the Saturday morning stop off to get wheels trued get bits & pieces & have a chat. Get the low down on who was doing what over the weekend from who ever came in. He will always be Mr to me as I was 15 when I stated to frequent his establishment, watching him true wheels was an experience, it looked like he was not paying any attention as he chatted. Obviously not the case.
Mr Morris repaired an Ephgrave I had severely mangled riding down a ditch over Whipps Cross, top tube & down tube almost snapped. When I got it back like it never happened. I was in his club in 1969, 70, he joined later. Good memories from those times.Arthur

Yes, its called history. My point was that there was a coincidental correlation between the bike now being in Norfolk, and the origins of its maker, whose family most likely migrated down a few hundred years ago.
That gives the words 'tenuous connection' new meaning 😂 Stonking bike think, reminds me of Les Rigden levels of detail and finish.

There was an HR Morris on eBay about a year ago, full bike for less than 500, not a patch on this one, but still beautiful cut lugs. Deep regret not buying it!

Have you found any interest for this yet? I guess the next step is eBay - it would easily find a new home in the US, though I'd be terrified to ship it! I think you might get near your asking price, as it's easily as good as a top end Hetchins (they can do £2-2500 for blinged out examples)
