Guess the stem.

This has me stumped. Reynolds clip stem? No markings on it at all.

Am I beings silly but where is the hole in the top of the stem for the expander bolt?

clip type stems did not have an expander bolt .Common on pre WW2 bikes . Out of favour by the mid 1950's.

Thanks Bagpuss. Lovely looking stem you have. Yes clip type stem but just can't find anything like it. Remember seeing somewhere a longer reach stem but can't think where or what it was on.
Reynolds was my first guess but looked at catalogues, Browns and others and no luck.

I should of added the RRA is does not belong to me :cry: .
I did have 2 Sunbeams with clip type headsets. Modern stems have now done away with the expander bolt ,albeit a better arrangement. Nothing new in cycling.
