What paint is under the yellow?
Looks very similar to my Scott Boulder '89 (as I know was available with ovalized near bb or round seat tube), so - if it's right way - it could be Sawtooth from that year

Looks like a 88 Scott Boulder or Windriver to me. (I can't differenciate between those frames. Maybe thery were the same, only with different groupset and colors?)

That is a nice frame. IIRC the early Boulders were higher grade frames and very popular.

IMO this one from 1st post is not '88 - look for the chain protector from spokes in my '88
'89 which I posted above is same as '88, but without that protector - that's why '89 Scott is my type (but if f.mech is oryginal it'll be lower range than Boulder/Windriver - Sawtooth, or maybe Montana)

Yea, you're right. 89 then. Did they really use the same frame throughout the whole range? (apart from race and alu frame obviously)
I am just now looking at the '89 catalogue. Seems so. All Tange Infinity...
