Got this from the tip a while ago

Came repainted yellow with Exage Country (front mech still attached) and a decent painted over BB.

Ovalised and sleeved seat tube.

U-brake

Marin?

Re:

Actually i'll take that back - just looked at pics of my old explorer and the rear braze ons for rack are in diff places.

Sorry :-(

Its a "Sorted! You are a bit stupid aren't you"

Looks like a 88 Scott Boulder or Windriver to me. (I can't differenciate between those frames. Maybe thery were the same, only with different groupset and colors?)

edit: definitely is, found it via google pictures.
Scolioza, you had one in yellow, didn't you?

That is a nice frame. IIRC the early Boulders were higher grade frames and very popular.

Thias - that's even my picture, done in my garden :D ;)

IMO this one from 1st post is not '88 - look for the chain protector from spokes in my '88
'89 which I posted above is same as '88, but without that protector - that's why '89 Scott is my type (but if f.mech is oryginal it'll be lower range than Boulder/Windriver - Sawtooth, or maybe Montana)

Yea, you're right. 89 then. Did they really use the same frame throughout the whole range? (apart from race and alu frame obviously)
I am just now looking at the '89 catalogue. Seems so. All Tange Infinity...

btw: is http://www.RetroMTB.pl your site? Its my favorite site when looking for catalogues. Also read some articles here and there.
