GT ZASKAR

RTS

Cheers for your replys folks,

I am also intrested in a nice RTS frame. Not particularly fussy which but i would prefer a polished ally/ ball burnished main frame.

Also,i have seen a 'Zaskar' frame for sale, looks legit at first glance, but is advertised as a '95 LE, 7000 series sticker on the tube and the number on the dropout is 0000270. The dropout isnt replacable either which leads me to think otherwise.
The GT at the end of the toptube is flat though. CONFUSED!!!! :?

Please can you enlighten me with your knowledge!

Cheers

Fred :D

The price varies a ton on dent and dings in the frame also. Not uncommon for people to pay up to $400 for a mint frame off a garage queen bike that's only been ridden a few hundred miles. If you pay 60-80 quid you might be short a hanger and it's likely to have dents then figure another 80 quid of your time and materials to make it look like anything. Fred what size you after. I have a 97 and 99 right now but I think both are 18's and I have an 18 ball burnished from 1991 arriving in the morning.

what about an estimated 50,000 miles and er, one or two dings as well as being stolen/ recovered....?

zaskar

thats the one!

My suspicions were right then. It looks in good nick which is a shame. If i can get it cheap enough then might have a dabble ;) .

I am warming to a bravado or psyclone now aswell :? .

decisions decisions.... :( :(

I've been looking at that one as well just messaged the seller

".....I'm interested in this frame. ......... Are you 100% sure that this is a Zaskar? Does it have 6061 stamped on the inside of the rear dropout? The fact that it has an integrated rear gear hanger makes me think it may be another model GT with Zaskar decals applied. ........ There should also be a serial number on the frame's rear dropouts reading something like this - 03951906 - with the first 4 numbers giving the month and year of production. Can you get back to me before I stick a bid on...."

We wait and see.

Fred if you want a Bravado I've got a NOS Frame built up at the moment, too big for me so will more than likely be selling. It's in my gallery so take a look and PM me if you're interested

bravado

intresting what they come back to you with!!

thanks for the bravado offer, what size frame is it? looks bit big for me really.

cheers

fred :D

Seller just responded to my question

".....I cant be 100% sure as I bought it from an independent shop in the Philippines. The only stamped number is the one on the rear dropout (shown in pic) 0000270. Hope that helps..."

Don't think I'll be bidding on this one

Never know, it might be made from coke...... A gt mule.

Could turn out to be an unexpected bargain!!!
