GT Zaskar re-issue MBUK 20th anniversary

If i'd won it ,i'd keep it for 15 years then sell it, stripped down, keeping only the frame
Seems like he's in need of money quick, shame really,he must be gutted

There seems to be a lot of bitterness concerning this guy. I don't have a problem with him selling the bike, what's wrong with making a bit of cash out of a lucky break?

It's win-win if you ask me, he'll get some beer money and somebody else will get the chance to own a one-off bike (maybe for a good price)

I hate purple!!!
Purple is a rich vibrant colour and in itself is about as retro as it gets
Cant understand why you hate it so
Go on put a little on your bike

Unless it's that your a gold ano' lover

Nah, I'm into Red on the Tibolt and Etsx, Blue on the Rektek, and a bit of green on the Stumpy!!! Not got any gold bits, but there's an idea. Got to be better than yukky purple!

Here's some of the pile of stuff I sent to the anodisers earlier. Most of it will be coming back red!!! :D

Where did you send them and how much do they charge?

:D Nothing! It's another doorman / bouncer I work with. He does it on the sneaky side! They usually mainly do medical stuff. He's done Fireblade bits for me and currently has whats in the pic plus Ringle skewers, stem, cage and post, Race Face cranks, inner ring and he's giving some pedals a go (they may not work though!) Have a look in the phone book or web for Metal Finishers. Wish I could offer this service to other Retro Bikers but it's not me that does it!

Agreed. It's his bike and he can do whatever he wishes with it. If i'd of won i'd of sold it instantly and bought a bike i really did want like a ti-mega XTR instead.

This bike did inspire my alpinestars modern build but lets be honest if it did'nt have those tyres on and a bit of purple ano, we really would'nt give a shite. And as for the forks I think my gold Reba's on the alpinestars are far more in character than those judy yellow ones.

taking another look at that auction, he probably has a ridiculous high reserve on it, and is just trying to strike the lottery...but ultimately has no designs on parting with it....

you never know.
