OK those decals are for a 1996 frame, but thats not the serial number for a 1996, the serial number should be mm/yy/###### and should be on the dropout not the BB.
Serial number seems post 2000, or maybe 2nd month 2000 in 19inch #12... maybe

Wait, I thought you said it was baby blue? Did you strip the pain off?

I'd say (probably/possibly) it's a post USA made/buyout/bankruptcy frame the easton/7005 tag and serial number dont say 2001 or before, but could be wrong, there's always weird crap going on with GT's

A pic of the whole bike/frame would help also.

yeah I'd say it's a 2000 (or maybe 2001 but unlikely) serial number on BB due to the dropout not actually having anywhere for the number to go (I guess)

The 2001 Zaaskar race and zaskar team had "custom easton taperwall" but deosnt say if 6061 or 7005, so could be the DT is 7005
the 2000 zaskar le and zaskar X (was there a team or non le, need to lok father) says "custom butted easton 6061" could be custom means a 7005 tube in there...

I'd say if we can figure it out and it IS a Team or le from 2000, repaint it those as those colours are great (the blue/black/yellow
