Does anyone know much about these I think mines more or less original it has a black lx brake on front silver v brake on back which I think the back is wrong and the forks are manitou comp which are wrong so does any one know original spec frame num mt80705599 which I don't understand it's cromoly cheers

Are you sure that's the right frame number for a GT LTS 5000? @kingoffootball may also know.

That seems unusual, a photo of the serial number might help.

I think that was the only steel LTS, so it could have been made somewhere else, but it seems unlikely and all the '96 serials I have are Sanfa and therefore begin with an S. Do you have other brands with serials start MT Sam? It rings a bell, but can't think which brand/factory that would be.

Of course, there are Marin, Orange and Scott starting 'MT' - First digit is the year, so that'll be a 1998 frame, not 1996.

Ah of course. My single speed which I think I finally confidently identified as a Scott has an MT number. That'll be what I was thinking of.

That makes more sense. I have checked and I only have 5 '98 numbers and they have 3 different formats. I guess in 1998 they started sourcing different frames in the range from different factories.

So you think number right ands a 98 also do you know what the original parts were is it black lx brakes callipers and what forks cheers kingoffootball
