GT LTS 1995

Proto2000

Retro Guru
I have had this frame for a while and decided it was time to build it. Had a few bruises from the bars swinging into the frame so filled that with Bondo, lol. Grabbed a sticker kit from someone in EU and it looks great. Wheels, brakes and a few other pieces are thanks to another MTBR/Retro Bike member, had not seen him in 20+ years. The CK headset will go away when I find the XTR I have stashed away, still searching. Fork is not a long travel so working on a deal with Fork parts for the right parts to convert to 75mm travel. Seat post is also temp, need to find a Syncros in 27mm, yikes! The skewers are correct, way hard to find. All in all, it's coming together nicely. Not going to be 100% factory build but more of what a racer would have used in 1995.

It's a bit disguised, under the T in Team on top tube. There is a very small one on the left that covered much better with the sticker.

I found an M900 FD for the bike and cabled the brakes and both derailleurs to get the build buttoned up. During the FD cabling I noticed that the cable does not line up with the groove in the swing arm. Did these come with a different FD or maybe a wider BB? I have a 107mm and all looks fine for clearances.
