GT Lightning

That's a good point, one I didn't know.

Is there alot of difference, apart from the end cap.

Doesn't one show its ti and other doesn't?

The Xizang has a polished finish and has made in the USA stamped on the bottom bracket

The lightning is made in Asia and is not polished it was made for 2 years.

Nice one, I just looked on few pics online of the two frames. Clear to see

Being USA made the xizang is naturally more desirable I presume.
Do you know which years the lightning frames were made?

Re:

The end cap on the lightning has the grade of Ti printed. The Xizang just has GT.

Xizang is better as made in US. Lightning is rarer as only made for 2 years and less made.

If it was the one on eBay from the guy selling various bikes (pace , kona etc) then that was a lightning.

Ok thanks guys for the insight. That's really helpful.

The end cap on this reveals it is a lightning. Just had a look back through some photos

Appreciated

Re:

I’ve got a Lightning and I actually prefer it to the Xizang. The finish is just so different to other Ti bikes out there and it’s certainly rare.

do you know roughly how many were made Dom?

Im really looking forward to getting it and riding it. Im debating whether to leave the decals as they are,or change to the correct ones.

Re:

Not sure how many made at all. Can’t be many though

Change the decals for sure

It rides great. Very forgiving
