Hi folks

Please treat me gently as this is my first post :D

I have a Black GT Karakoram mountain bike which i purchased in the late 80's and i was wondering what to do with it as it is getting little use at the moment, the bike is very original and includes the following\;-

Original black steel frame in good condition for its age
Original rockshock mag 20 inc shock pump
Original front cantilever brake
Original U brake
Original stem
Original bars
Original hubs
Original gearlevers and brake levers rear shifter ok front faulty
Original seatpost

other

Xlite front cantilever bolts titaniam / purple
Onza bar ends

\I do ride my other bike is a Marin Attack Trail so they could not be further a part :D

The GT just does not see the light of day very offten which is sad really as i have a road bike for fitness :oops:

As for the spec i believe it to be stand not really sure what the elite version has in the way of spec
 
Seriously, we don't do valuations in this bit of the forum. Please use the "How much is my xyz.. worth" thread, because otherwise we can't find the information we want.

A retrobike that is rare and special is worth something, but your Karakoram is neither. Don't think you'll be able to retire on the proceeds from it.
 
On a serious note (and agreeing with what Chris has said) I think I would be inclined to give it a good ol' spruce up and enjoy riding it....
