So I need to be looking for Avalanche, Zaskar or Xizang (yeah.. like that'll happen )??

What's the general consensus on the best year(s) for the Avalanche and what sort of money am I realistically looking at??

So does that mean that the 7005 frame is inferior to the 7000 frames. IE they are heavier due to magnesium/zinc content?

no means they have differewnt properties, er stronger but worse to weld in think

ian you'll find avalanches with a number after them
these are pretty similar to the agressors sold by halfords
not in any way bad bikes ,but i sense not what your after
93- 97 ish was i think the best years for GT's so look for just
"avalanche" usually an lx or similar level build
if your looking for a ZASKAR any will do the lightest (3.1lb for my large)is the 2000/2 models butil with easton tubes ,usually the race models in a
red black gray white COLOURWAY these have disc mounts
and a 3d type dropout
the geometery is a lot more streatched out on the zaskars too
they are fantastic things to ride tho with the right set up
