Thats some tidal flow on the river you have there in Hamburg, the high water marks got to be 6 foot+ judging by the marks on the walls .....

That's the Speicherstadt, the largest built on oak piles warehouse complex. The water level, which is influenced by the tides, is always a problem there. This area of the city has really a mgic flair with beautiful buildings
