do you still have this get up...

Good grief Rich!!! Did you have those when we were in Blazing Saddles?! Thankfully I can't remember you wearing them    I had to get Kay a chair when I showed her the pic, she was quite taken aback.

Oh, welcome to the forum by the way. What's taken you so long? I told you about this ages ago!

Bibb's on here somewhere too.

We'll have to start a Wakey group ;)

You are all welcome to play in the NE&Yorks section

Spent a lot of time in my mis-spent youth in Wakefield and Wrenthorpe, had some good friends over there- sadly lost touch over the years.

Hey Rich, Bibbys coming to the Big Weekender, do you want to join us??

Si

Hello 'Nedly'
Well she always was one for a 'fluster', even all those years ago
How many must it be since 'those days'?? 15 years, at least?

Nick G is still around, but having some 'health problems' at the moment
(he spoke to Simon J a while ago apparantly, & he's okay)

I know, I just forgot about it for a long time

Yes, I saw Darren Bibb at the Cyclo-Cross (@ Kippax) on Wednesday 1st.
What Cyclo-Cross in summer?!?!?

Yes. the 'YCCA' run a league (click on 'me' in my signature block)

This was at Linthwaite (Huddersfield) on Wed 3rd June

Mindst you, I was down at Oxspring (east of Penistone) last night, running a 'Trunce'
A cross-country!, that included crossing (wading) the River Don three times!!!
It was my first attempt at it, but loved it, & will be back for the next round (work dependant)

I finished in 37.04 & 51st/81, I need a better start at the next one, as it's just like a cross, everybody bunches up at the first bottle-neck (a gate in this case) & the first 30 or so are away!

Need to buy some fell-running shoes though, road-running shoes are just not grippy enough ;)
So, there'll be a trip to 'Up & Running' shortly

Trunce race 3 piccies

Catch you soon Ned!

If you're going to catch me you'd better start a minute behind me - and pedal fast :D ;)

I was going to ride some of the 'summer' crosses but somehow it never happened, always something else to do on a Wednesday - or it chucked it down with rain!

I'm not sure what's happening about the Dalby weekender, I MAY be able to get over on the Sunday but Kay has a hospital appointment on the Saturday.

It was at least 15 years ago! Doesn't time fly when you're enjoying yourself!

Give Nick my regards if you speak to him - or PM me with his 'phone number?

Our daughter lives in Oxspring almost on the TP trail - very handy!

Sadly there's not one in the Wakefield area during the summer-season; Kippax was the closest
Your old pal Peter Milsom seems to have stopped racing now (but Paul still does - I beat him on Wednesday :D )

My regards to the 'old girl' (aka; SWMBO)

Ahh, remember when we had that party for him at your house!!

Will do, I don't have his mobile number, just his home, but will tell Maxine to expect a call from you (using your real name, of course)

The 'Trunces' start from next to the 'Wagon & Horses'.

If you look at the 'www', there's a map/ariel overlay, so she'll know the route & can tell you how bl**dy silly we are

If you can e-mail these links to her, she definately tell you we're all 'certifiably insane'!!

Race 2, 30th April

Haywoods album (Race 5, 22nd June)

Just a thought.

With Mark Cavendish equally Barry Hobans 8 'TdeF' stage wins, I'll try to speak with BH's sister & see what the old boy has to say.
I used to live just up the hill from Josie, & still see her every so often

I'd better not let her see the really scary ones then!!, until you've got some 'Smelling Salts' available!!! :D :D
