Great news. Ebay drops seller charges!

As a seller, you are left in the same position so it makes no difference. Buyer will likely be disappointed though.

I also doubt they have a 90s retro bike expert to know any of our old shite has been sold cheaply. More likely in the event of it being lost.

I’ve bought many things from lost postage auctions. Some gems amongst it all.
AI?

eBay seemed to ‘guess’ the shipping on my items, I think some were relisted automatically with Simple Delivery and perhaps had carried the wrong dimensions - never completed this bit, no need previously.

I don’t tend to take the exact weight and dimensions etc during listing, as you don’t really know, until choosing a box etc. after sale.

2 sales recently were a PITA, the first had shipping as additional to the item price and I was unaware that eBay shipping was being used until sale. After waiting a day for a reply, eBay confirmed I would need to cancel the sale and relist with a new offer to buyer.

The 2nd, had to contact eBay again. I had always set this one to free postage. No need to cancel, the advisor said just use your own label if you would like as eBay refund any unused Simple Delivery labels if not used within 14 days.

So, while they continue to refund any unused label within 14 days maybe set everything to free postage and adjust prices. There is no global setting to avoid the automatic eBay delivery being specified in the listing.

So, perhaps set everything to free postage to be safer and adjust prices. There is no global setting to avoid the automatic eBay delivery being specified in the listing.
I don't get all this as a business seller, but I do get a 14% charge!

Anyone here paid the £15 to 'promote your listings' yet?
They gave me a free £15 off last month to use on promoting listings until the end of the month. Item didn't sell though so I didn't get charged (as you can pick which method to use).

Item now has 3 more watchers since promotion ended, number of watchers stayed the same during promotion.

I guess for the sort of stuff we're (well me) are selling then people are specifically looking for it.
